Orcas Center is hugely dependent on volunteers to keep our arts center running smoothly. Consider joining our volunteer team. We need everyone, from folks who want to work on a one-time basis to those that want to establish an ongoing volunteer schedule. Volunteer assignments at Orcas Center offer the opportunity to learn a new skill, meet new people, get behind the scenes, contribute to organizational initiatives and have fun.
Volunteer Opportunities include:
Production:
--stage management
--lighting and sound operation
--production crew
--set and costume construction
Front of house:
--box office staff
--house management
--ushering
--beverage and CD sales
Administrative:
--data entry and mailing parties
--maintaining event archives
Facilities:
--grounds maintenance
--organization and maintenance of scene, costume and storage shops
Special events:
- Orcas Center hosts a number of fundraising events throughout the year, including a major summer gala dinner, the annual Golf Classic, and Burgers + Brew supper events. Volunteer opportunities include: menu planning, decorating, food and beverage service, event set up and clean up.
