Orcas Conservatory is an ongoing series of performing arts classes, providing high-quality training and experiences to children and adults in dance (ballet, tap, jazz, flamenco, ballroom), acting, directing, playwriting and production.

Winter 2008 Offerings

Dance for Children with Susan Babcock
Ages 6-8, Mondays, 3:30-4:30 pm
Ages 9-12, Mondays, 4:30-5:30 pm
February 25-April 1
Parents can register their children and pay tuition on February 25.
Tuition is for 7 weeks: $70
Classes are held in the OffCenter Stage at Orcas Center.

If your child wishes to perform in Beauty and the Beast, ­ they will need to be available evenings
on April 6, 7, 8, 9 and for 9 performances starting at 7:30 pm.

Performance dates are April 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, 19, 24, 25, 26.

Improv for Women with Louise Carnachan
Ages 50+
Classes are on Mondays, February 4 to March 10, 6:00 to 7:30 pm
Tuition is $60.00. Classes are held in the OffCenter Stage at Orcas Center.

Dance with Anthony Manuel
Children and adult participants in Anthony’s classes prepare them for Island Inspiration All Stars
which performs on Center Stage May 3, 2008.

Children and Adult's Hip Hop classes are currently closed.

World Dance
Ages 17 to adults
Classes are Friday 6:00 to 7:15 pm
Tuition is $10 per class
