Sophisticated, clever patter. Quirky, nimble rhythms. Orcas Islander and nationally-renowned lyricist/singer Lorraine Feather has been called “a lyrical Dorothy Parker” by Jazz Times, and her 2008 album Language was #1 on the jazz radio charts. She welcomes the equally celebrated pianist, composer, and arranger Shelly Berg, and together they will spin out tunes with Feather’s lyrics and reinventions of instrumentals by jazz greats such as Fats Waller and Duke Ellington.
Ms. Feather will dedicate this performance to the
Orcas Animal Protection Society.
